Akantha Junction
70,00 €
A 3D printed planter with textured spikes that pierce through its rounded body and integrated saucer.
Akantha Junction plays with the tension between an organic form and a structured one. Large, tapered spikes emerge from the planter as if they are part of its own structure, extending down into the base. Where they meet the surfaces, their pointed ends slightly press into the form, creating the impression that they are piercing through it.
The spikes give the planter a sense of growth and movement, while their sharp, textured surfaces contrast with the rounded form of the planter and base. Rather than acting as a separate support, the base continues the same form and becomes part of the planter itself.
The base also works as a saucer, keeping the practical function of the planter integrated into the design.
Akantha Junction is 3D printed in small batches using plant-based PLA.
